Advancing the game of Lacrosse in memory of Marco Antinarella.

The Marco Antinarella Scholarship Foundation was created in memory of Marco Antinarella. Its purpose is to help grow the game of lacrosse, and the lacrosse community, as well as reward individual athletes with a yearly scholarship.

About Coach Marco

Born and raised in Syracuse, NY Marco Antinarella was a Goalie for Liverpool High School, graduating in 1991. He then attended LeMoyne College, from 1991 – 1995, where he was a four-year starter for the Dolphins’ program. During his four-year career, Marco amassed a total of 620 career saves; a record that still holds to this day.

Living in Atlanta, since 2001 Marco became a permanent member of the Roswell community when he purchased his home in 2003. Serving as the Goalie Coach at Alpharetta High School (’11 – ’15), Marco then moved to the Roswell Lacrosse program. He was the program’s Goalie Coach from ’16 – ’21. In his spare time, Marco also participated in the Old Guy Lax league.

Marco loved the game of lacrosse. He valued the teamwork and life skills developed while preparing for, and participating in, the game. Winning was important but, most of all, Marco wanted to pass his love for the game on to future generations. He carried his passion as a player into that of a coach.

Marco passed on November 14, 2022. He was survived by his parents, Marco and Nancy Antinarella as well as his brother, Nick Antinarella, and nephew Enzo Antinarella.
