2026 Chooch Award Female - Mary Katherine Tucker

We are proud to present this year’s Chooch Award to Mary Katherine Tucker, a standout student-athlete from Roswell High School.

This award honors the memory of Alex “Chooch” Chrzanowski, a beloved RHS teacher and coach for 26 years. It recognizes a graduating Roswell High School senior who demonstrates dedication, perseverance, and leadership on and off the field.

Mary Katherine has been a committed member of the Roswell lacrosse program and has earned recognition as a 2025 Defensive Player of the Year Watchlist honoree. She was also named 2025 Defensive Player of the Year, received the 2024 Tom Zachary VIP Award, the 2024 Lacrosse WELLmade Award, and was named Player of the Game against Cambridge in 2024.

Beyond lacrosse, Mary Katherine has shown the same drive and character in the classroom and in her community. She has earned Principal Honor Roll and Honor Roll recognition, served on Student Council, participated in National Beta Club, and volunteered extensively through RUMC, youth lacrosse camps, and as a Confirmation Leader.

This fall, Mary Katherine will attend Kent State University, where she will continue her lacrosse career at the Division I level.

Congratulations, Mary Katherine. Your dedication, leadership, and competitive spirit make you a worthy recipient of the Chooch Award, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish at Kent State.
