2026 Boys Chooch Award - Rowan Chapiro

The Chooch Award was created to honor the memory of Alex “Chooch” Chrzanowski, a beloved Roswell High School teacher and coach for 26 years. It recognizes graduating seniors who represent the qualities Chooch lived out every day: dedication, perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to something bigger than themselves.

This year, we are proud to recognize Rowan Chapiro as a Chooch Award recipient.

Rowan has been playing lacrosse since 2nd grade, and over the years, he has grown into one of Roswell’s most reliable and respected defensive players. As a Long Stick Middie, he earned 1st Team All-State honors and was named Roswell Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.

But Rowan’s impact goes well beyond the field.

He has excelled academically as an AP Scholar with Honor, an AP Capstone Candidate, and a Presidential Honor Roll student. He has also given his time through Meals by Grace, youth lacrosse coaching, student tutoring, teacher assistance, church volunteering, and Star House Club.

This fall, Rowan will attend the University of Central Florida, where he plans to major in Aerospace Engineering.

Congratulations, Rowan. Your work ethic, leadership, and character make you an outstanding representative of Roswell High School and a deserving recipient of the Chooch Award.
